I am a firm believer that we are all unique individuals and that we all benefit from those differences. That being said, there are some things that other people like that, as much as I’ve tried and tried, I just do not understand. Strangely, a lot of them are British. To start, I just don’t get Shakespeare. To me he was always too wordy, so much so that he had to invent his own words to tell a story. And it seems that just about everybody dies, so it was hard to get invested in a character. About the only way I “get” Shakespeare is when somebody does a movie of one of his stories in a modern setting. Also, despite having fans the world over, I have to admit that I have never understood a minute of Dr. Who. Maybe now that I’m a bit older I might revisit this, but do I have to go back to they very beginning to figure out what’s going on or can I jump in at certain points? But I will definitely state that the fans who can list every actor who’ve played the Doctor do make me nervous. Here at home, I will never ever in a million years understand why people like Adam Sandler. I’m sure he’s a decent human being in real life, but the humor in his movies absolutely escapes me. You’ll never change my mind about this, but you can bring a TARDIS, in some form or another (no pictures!) to earn yourself 25 points at the end of Round 3 (before the Double Down Dare).
