It only took until the last minute (according to Mrs. Clue Writer) but we finally got our Christmas tree purchased, home, and decorated. It’s a different species than what we had last year, but it smells nice. When we finally got it lit up, my youngest said that “this is the stuff dreams are made of” completely unaware that that had been said before. I just stood in front of the tree for the longest time because I couldn’t bear to go into the living room, where yet another Hallmark Christmas movie was on the TV. But I am endeavoring to be more positive this holiday season. I have even been seen wearing my ugly Christmas sweater in public, on purpose.
