I’m taking a quick trip to see some baseball spring training games next week. When I go, I always hope to see the next great player before they get famous. Usually though, I see so many rookie baseball players that I can’t keep up with them. My oldest kid doesn’t understand the beauty of the game. Her idea of baseball is watching Major League in the den on a rainy day. One of these days, a few years from now when she’s old enough, I’ll teach her the finer points of holding a pint while playing darts, but until then I will enjoy my days at the ballpark by myself.
