I was trapped in a car today with my youngest niece for about an hour (we were going somewhere). Apparently, watching Frozen is a way to cool down from the Texas heat. Listening to her sing Let It Go over and over and over again did nothing to help the situation. I’m seriously considering breaking out my massive New Kids On The Block collection and torturing her mom with that when she comes to visit us next year. My cousin is still trying to “teach” Texas to me. Today she was telling me all about the pecan being the official state nut. I suggested that it wasn’t original, as Alabama also has the pecan as their state nut and that at least other states found different nuts to exalt rather than copying somebody else.
