DJ Trivia Bonus in the Finger Lakes for Wednesday, January 22, 2020

No DJ Trivia at Nickel’s Pit BBQ, it has closed for the Winter but will resume in the Spring! But you can still play in the Finger Lakes tonight at various places and times: Ovid Vfw at 6:30, Next Chapter Brewpub at 7:00, Wayside Irish Pub at 7:30, and Plantation Bar & Grill at 8:00!

Conversation at the dinner table last night involved a potential summer vacation. I suggested that we all do some research, visit the state we think has the strangest state nickname. I can’t wait to see the family’s lists, so we can make a decision. Given the cold snap that descended on our house this week (we’re measuring temperatures in Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin), I’m sorta hoping that there are some silly state nicknames in the South. Or I may just claim paterfamilias and decree that we are going to visit something related to the presidency of Teddy Roosevelt (I’m reading his biography right now). You can get in on this too… think of all of the states you lived in or visited and write down the silliest nickname for one of those states and 15 points will be yours at the end of Round 2 (before the Double Down Dare).
