My current vehicle is on its last legs and, Lord help me, Mrs. Clue Writer wants to replace it with a minivan. Even though they’ve been around a long time and allegedly drive just like a car does, I don’t know that I can bring myself to buy one. Among my friends, we’ve always treated minivans as a badge of shame, as though Nathaniel Hawthorn was still writing today. One thing that will never shame me is my love of Star Wars, in particular the movie The Empire Strikes Back. To me it is the darkest and most “grown up” of all the Star Wars movies and I can still quote just about every line in the movie. Mrs. Clue Writer thinks I’m being immature about this whole minivan thing. You can be just as right as she is when you bring a picture of you and your minivan tonight.
