Proving that everything old is new again, I read that the ownership of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team is looking at the possibility of moving to Montreal. The old Montreal Expos had some great players in their day, but an absolutely awful stadium to play in. I’m certain that whenever the next thing after CDs is announced and they reintroduce the entire Beatles album collection on that format, Beatles fans will be just as excited all over again. Some things aren’t very likely to appear again though. It is highly unlikely that anyone is going to rebuild Hadrian’s Wall or move the original London Bridge back to London any time soon. While the fans of the Montreal Expos may be happy about the possibility of having baseball in their city again, surely they weren’t happy when they left town. What is some team or other local institution that you liked/loved that picked up and moved away leaving you behind?
