One of our neighbors down the street just announced that she’s expecting again. I’m beginning to think she’s one of those people that aren’t happy unless she’s pregnant. I told one of my other neighbors that I’m going to screw up one day and call her Carla, like the waitress from Cheers, because they just might end up with the some number of kids. Speaking of expecting, we’re getting closer to that time of year when we can expect some baseball managers to get fired. I keep hoping they’ll hire somebody who’s never managed before just to see if a pro really makes a difference in that role. After all, it’s not like it has never been done before. Heck, if David Lee Roth can sing bluegrass versions of Van Halen songs and they can make a country versions of Led Zepplin songs, why can’t they put a fan in the dugout for a few games, just to liven up the joint. Regardless, I’m sure we’re going to have go to Target or someplace because she’s going to register again and we don’t want to be the one couple that doesn’t get them something for yet another baby shower.
