Now that the first event of golf’s grand slam is done, I guess we can now look forward to horse racing’s Triple Crown to start piquing peoples’ interest. I just wish people were as interested in reading books as they are with TV. I mean, don’t you remember what went through your mind as you learned what happened to the characters in Lord of the Flies? Heck, even a short read, such as the Gettysburg Address, had the power to influence a nation. Well, I am absolutely in favor of literacy, if for no other reason than we might learn something that ends up in a DJ Trivia game.
