The weekend isn’t quite here but you can have fun like it is when you play DJ Trivia in the Finger Lakes tonight at Tavern Restaurant or Drifters on Owasco at 7:00, F n a Rhythm and Booze at 7:30 or Vonnie’s Boathouse at 8:00!

Today is the last day of my road trip and I am in the Carolinas tonight. Being here turns my thoughts immediately to college basketball. It has always amazed me how everybody loves Dick Vitale as an announcer when he was pretty mediocre as actual coach. I may scoot on over to Wilmington, where they actually filmed Dawson’s Creek, and send the pictures to my new friends I made in Massachusetts, where the show was fictionally set. We had to stop and get a tire replaced along the way. The tire guy suggested a Michelin tire as a replacement, but after the troubles they had back in 2005, I still don’t think I’ll put them on my personal vehicle. I’m sure they’re fine now, but old memories die hard I guess. What is one product or service you swore that you’d never buy again, even though they probably fixed the problem?
