After celebrating the holiday yesterday, I am so glad that Prohibition of Alcohol no longer exists in America (unless you’re in parts of the Deep South). In my opinion, there is nothing more American than enjoying a cold beer while manning the grill on July 4th. My neighbor has a different idea about drinking in that he brought a variety of brandy flavors to sample at the neighborhood block party. Yes, it’s different, but he’s willing to clean the pool more than anyone else, so we cut him a lot of slack. He is learning though. For our last Spring Fling party, he brought a CD of famous violin concertos. We played one just so he could see the energy of the party fade away and he has never brought another violin concerto to a block party again. You know that you looked good, running your grill like a Boss yesterday as well. Just to show off for everyone else, bring your favorite grilling utensil that you use when you are cooking meat over an open flame and your host will be awestruck enough to give you 15 points at the end of Round 2 (before the Double Down Dare).
