Last week the Los Angeles Dodgers managed to become the first National League team in over 20 years to lose back to back World Series appearances. I can’t begin to imagine the number front runners that would come out of the woodwork if a National League team would actually win the World Series in back to back appearances. While I’m certain that winning a World Series provides a minimal level of immortality, I’m one of those people who would love to join that select club of people who have walked on the Moon. I’m sadly aware that it will never happen, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still dream the dream. I’m usually dreaming it while I’m in my easy chair, watching Wheel Of Fortune, and waiting for the folks on the show to solve the puzzle that I figured out two spins ago. I like my easy chair. I really do. I think you like it too!
