With the new Star Wars movie coming out this week, this will be the first one without the involvement of George Lucas since he sold out to Disney. That’s not to say he and his company didn’t make some significant contributions to the science of film making. Granted, they may not be on the same level of importance as Charles Darwin’s contributions to science, but we do enjoy them almost every time we go to the movies. Those contributions show up in the technical wonders that allow animated movies like Monsters, Inc. franchise to come to life on the silver screen. The results are often wonderful and filled with meaning, unlike that song from years ago about leaving a cake out in the rain. I’m not sure why someone would do that, but it sounds like a waste of a perfectly good cake to me. Since it doesn’t sound right to adopt a a cake, just bring a box of cake mix with you tonight to claim your 15 points at the end of Round 2 (before the Double Down Dare).
