Oh boy… I just found out Aunt Helen is coming for Christmas. That means that despite my advancing age I can count on a tube of her favorite toothpaste in my stocking because Aunt Helen refuses to believe that I’m not six years old anymore. Now, I am also going to have to reconsider hanging a sprig of mistletoe because of the inevitable lipstick stains she imparts on everyone. I threatened Mrs. Clue Writer that I was going to tell her that we converted to Judaism and that Hanukkah had already passed, but was talked out of that idea because even I am not that cruel. She also said that since the news has taken the edge off of my holiday joy, we should continue seeing who has the best ugly/tacky Christmas sweater/t-shirt.
