DJ Trivia Bonus in the Finger Lakes for Monday, January 7, 2019

Welcome to Mondays in 2019 and playing DJ Trivia at our newest location in the Finger Lakes tonight – Bagels and Cakes at 7:00 with their great menu and bar. Games continue in the new year at Swaby’s Tavernat 7:00 and Waneta Inn at 7:30!

We have a guy in the office who is a great fan of the President, but refuses to open a Twitter account and get his tweets directly. I was telling him how amazing I thought the rate of technological advances was because my grandmother still remembers listing to Presidential addresses on the radio as the only way she got to hear from the President. My grandmother moved into an assisted living community a few months ago and is taking to it better than I thought she would. She told me that one of her favorite events there is when they have “Ladies’ Night” once a month. The lady residents get dressed up, and as they play the song in the activity room, the ladies parade in like they’re walking the runway in a fashion show. The scary part for our family is that she has taken a shine to one of the assistants there, who she swears looks just like Joey from Friends. When she doesn’t take her meds in a timely manner, she flirts with him and asks if he is still doing butt double work. How she remembers that episode, we have no idea. Caring for grandparents can be scary and entertaining at the same time.
