July 10.2012Seeing Kauffman Stadium last night during the Home Run Derby got me thinking about some even older stadiums that today’s teams used to play in. I had to leave the bar I was watching it in though after I told a couple of geeks wannabes who were talking about camping out to go see the new Batman movie that the sooner they did it would just be more time I could spend with their dates. So I went home …and started looking up the sources of weird car names. For example,I knew the Volkswagen Sirocco was named after a seasonal wind but I didn’t know where it blew. This Tuesday night, just to see if you can pull it off, bring a pair of spiked runners’ track shoes with you to pick up 24 points at the end of Round 3!
