Spring is coming up and the calendar, so Mrs. Clue Writer and I have started trying to decide which flowering plants we’re going to plant around the homestead this year. There’s a lot of plants to pick from, but we’ve got each other to help decided what to do. There are some Desperate Housewives in our subdivision who struggle with this and will be on a first name basis with every garden center in town looking for help. Eventually they all end up planting virtually the same things in their yard because they heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another what somebody planted. While not every area of the country may be that close to planting, you can get an idea of what farming involves by bringing a packet of seeds of a vegetable of your choice with you tonight.
