A theory I overheard in line at the supermarket this weekend was that they’ve stopped making Batman movies and started making Joker movies is because they can’t find an actor willing to put on the Bat Suit anymore. I think that’s only because they haven’t asked Bill Murray to take on the role; I mean he’s worn some ridiculous costumes over the years in his movies. Or maybe because we now have the Emergency Alert System broadcasting to our TVs and phones, the idea of a Bat Signal seems kind of antiquated. If you needed to signal a super hero, how would you do it? Pick a super hero and write down what ingenious signal you’ve come with to get their attention, other than screaming really loudly.
