I’d like to say that I had a great conversation with my buddies while on the golf course this weekend. The reality is that we had a great conversation while sitting in my den and watching golf. During one of the lulls in the “action”, I opined that The Bad News Bears was one of the great sports movies of all time. One friend of mine is a football snob and said that he’d rather solve geometry equations for his kid’s homework than watch anything baseball related. That’s when my best friend chimed in to remind him that’s because he doesn’t understand all of the words in an Edgar Allen Poe poem, much less be able to talk about it. Even at our age, smack talk doesn’t end, it just changes subject.
