The MLB All-Star game is coming up in a few weeks and fans are busy stuffing the ballot box for their favorite players. I don’t know where it’s being played, but you can be sure that I will give up waiting after the sixth inning for the one guy from my team to get in the game. When the hostages held in Iran in 1980 were returned to the U.S., they were all given lifetime passes to any MLB game. I wonder how many of them actually used or still use those passes. The night of the game, I’ll probably make what m grandfather used to call his homemade sleeping agent, a small glass of milk with a shot or two of amaretto, and go to be early. I don’t know why, because I’m a big baseball fan, but I just can’t get excited about the All-Star Game. You may disagree, but I’m willing to bet there is something popular in America that you think in vastly overrated. What is it and why is overrated?
