I read this week that it was 41 years ago that Smokey and The Bandit was released in movie theaters. I guess time flies when you’re driving a Trans-Am. It was a fun movie with one good song on the soundtrack. Kind of the opposite of Purple Rain, with a lot of great songs on the soundtrack and one or two good scenes in the movie. I remember when we kids would get together we would turn on our favorite FM radio station and wait for them to play the song. My kids wouldn’t know what to do with themselves today if they had to do that.
