I spent some time this weekend getting ready for our annual summer camping trip. It looks like we’re going to have to replace our well worn Battleship game because we seem to be missing some pieces. The teens are already complaining because their phones don’t work where we camp. I reminded them that that was the whole idea and that if they kept complaining like four year olds, I would buy them a few Where’s Waldo books for them to pass the time, since their new default position is to look down at whatever is in their hands. They wanted to know why we couldn’t go some place exotic like New Zealand or the Canary Islands. I told them that we could do that or they could go to college. Tonight we’re going to learn why Toys R Us went out of business. Bring in that old board game you have at home that you never play anymore because you’re missing a piece or two, but you never bothered to replace it. If you do that, you can reflect on how you unwittingly put Jeffrey out of a job and collect 30 points at the end of Round 3 (before the Double Down Dare).
