Growing up, one of our summer traditions was tomato sandwiches and hard boiled eggs. The eggs ended up deviled or just refrigerated for a quick snack. While I’m certain that Iron Chef Bobby Flay could come up with something fancier, maybe a French dish with those ingredients, I’m quite happy with the basics. About the only thing that could make a summer day any better would be a plate of deviled eggs with a tomato sandwich while sitting out and reading one of my many Michael Crichton books on my book shelf.
