Our local minor league baseball team is having a contest to change the name of the team. Minor league baseball as always has some of the better team names in sports; the Lansing Lugnuts and the Albuquerque Isotopes are just two of the great team names that come to mind. Even some pro sports teams have had to change their name when the first one they had didn’t go over so well with the fans. Rare though is the restaurant that can change its name and continue on. The vast majority of the chain restaurants have kept their name even though they might have changed their theme or decor over the years. Tonight we want you to harken back to an earlier time and give us the name of a sports team or restaurant chain that is no longer around that you wouldn’t mind seeing come back again.
