So, my youngest announced today that she wants to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon this summer. I told her that she had about as much of a chance at doing that as she does counting every crater on the moon. I had to explain that planning a trip to that park takes a little time and that you have to make reservations well in advance. The only option I had for her was to watch the end of reruns of CBS Sunday Morning and catch it when they feature the Park in their nature segments at the end of the show. This is just one of the many disappointments she’ll have to face in life.
