We are now into our second consecutive Presidency where our Commander In Chief did not serve in any branch of the Armed Forces. While our most recent Presidents have always been civilians, there are a significant number of Presidents who were in the military in one form or another. Even though the President resides in the White House, there are a great many more landmarks in Washington DC to visit. Some people refuse to visit because of the person who holds the office, but it seems that no matter who is in the Oval Office, those in opposition will see POTUS as nothing more than Mr. Potato Head.
