Since I own the TV and the remote and cellphone reception is terrible at my house, each year a make a pilgrimage to the book store to stock up on some classic teen literature for my nieces an nephews. When push comes to shove, one way I can always get them out of my favorite chair by turning on 60 Minutes or some other news show. Every year, I torture them one night with some classic from 1970s cinema. This year’s selection is the southern travelogue Smokey and The Bandit because some of them live where parts of the movie were filmed and they don’t even realize it.
