Last night I was thrilled to learn that the Guinness Book of World Records was originally published to settle arguments in bars and pubs around the world. Good thing I read it cover to cover to prep for tonight’s game. About the only thing not in the book are the last words of famous novels, which is too bad because I only have enough time to read the last lines of famous books written in the 20th century. Not everyone is a big book reader though. But that in no way diminishes someone else’s ability to identify which of their favorite rock bands have become sellouts by allowing their music to be used in advertising. Some bands continue to hold out, but some day their retirement funds will need a little boost.
