We got an email from the high school that our kid’s class trip next summer will be to Grand Canyon National Park. Sure, national parks are nice and everything, but for my money, if you want to see something interesting, there’s a tour you can take in New York City that takes you to the houses of crime scenes of the five mafia families that used to be so powerful in the area. A friend of mine runs a tour business and that is one of his theme tours he run periodically. I keep trying to talk him into making a tour of cities that have only one sports championship. My selling point to him is that it is a great reason to visit Portland, Oregon and then head up to Seattle. Since I like underdogs, out of all of the pro teams that have never won a championship, write down the team that you think will be the next to get out of their slump and hoist a trophy in a championship parade.
